This ain't culture, and this ain't changing.
It's all just a fake, see the gentrification.
Trash built on a concrete sea, sheep fueled by pride and greed.
Culture grows when it's left alone, not intervened with, bought or sold.

We didn't belong so we started a scene.
We were the freaks you never wanted to meet.
16 with my world tattooed on me.
So we'd always be outside of your society.

We couldn't wait on the welfare state.
We pulled ourselves up, needed to get out.
Moved down with the big city kids and the silver spoons hanging from their mouths.
We ain't loaded, they don't like us.
Rich get the gifts, the poor get left out.
But we're ones who've got the grit, we're the ones who've got the guts.
